It is a formalisation of the success Chrissie Gallagher-Mundy has achieved for many years in and around London. After firmly establishing herself as a successful personal trainer, author and lecturer, she has built up her business by running a strong and organised team of professionals.

LAPT is more than an agency - it is a highly trained team of professionals who work under the London Academy's name and visit client's homes teaching high quality and safe exercise routines on a 1-1 basis.

LAPT are also interested in hearing from Masseurs, Physiotherapists, Nutritionists, Hynotherapists, and practitioners of other techniques etc. who may be interested in becoming part of the team.

LAPT is fully geared through extensive advertising, strong contacts and professional recommendations to finding clients seeking 1-1 training thus providing you with work as well as on going training in the latest techniques and training initiatives. In this way you will be fully equipped and free to provide first class training of clients on a 1-1 basis.

What we are offerering

What we are offerering

If you are an excellent trainer, then LAPT can offer you:
  • Regular work; either on a part time basis to fit in with your existing schedule or even more full time if you prefer
  • Regular training on a monthly basis with workshops for new ideas presented by team trainers and professional guest presenters
  • Training loans and certificates are also available (subject to conditions) e.g. Ante & Postnatal or Over 50's for example
  • Support, advice and resources to enable you to use your expertise to its best advantage for your clients.

What we are looking for from you

You need to be an experienced & motivational exercise teacher - not necessarily in one to one, as you will be trained in this.
Courses and qualifications are important but teaching technique and personality is what really counts and this usually comes from experience.
You need to be sympathetic and empathetic to all kinds of people.
You need to be available at times when people want personal fitness training. This can be, in theory, any time from 6am until 9pm but the busy times are evenings and early (6:30-9:00 am) mornings.

You need to be highly organised and efficient as keeping on top of new work-outs, which clients are due which classes etc. can be tough!

You must be 100% reliable - once you are committed to teaching a client you must be there for them every session.

We are looking for enthusiastic trainers who are keen to learn new approaches, try lots of new ideas and contribute new approaches and ideas!


You must have a current first aid certificate and it is helpful to be a member of REPs.
